Dr Who spells success for Character

Character Group has announced that sales and profitability are substantially ahead of last year, exceeding the management's original budgets and expectations for the period. For the six months ended February 28th, the company also secured new licences including Spiderman 3 and the Sarah Jane Adventures (a TV spin-off from the Doctor Who series). The company won Toy of the Year for its Doctor Who Cyberman Helmet and this range is expected to be the most successful range in the toy sector for young boys I the coming year. Richard King, chairman, said: “Taking into account the on-going strong demand for our continuing lines and our new introductions, we are very excited about our prospects and expect to see further exciting growth as we continue to build our existing brands and develop new ones.”
