The Barracuda Pub Group has appointed Sarah Weir as commercial director, a newly created role at the company. Ms Weir, who joined Barracuda at the beginning of July, will have responsibility for category management and overall procurement across the 200-strong pub company. She will also oversee the marketing and food development functions of the company, working closely with the operations function.
Ms Weir joins Barracuda from Pizza Express where she was the head of food and drink innovation and responsible for the business strategy on food and drink across 400 restaurants. She also worked at Mitchells and Butlers as head of asset planning and head of drinks marketing.
