Claire Tiney, formerly HR director at WHSmith, Mothercare and McArthurGlen, has joined the board of retail mentoring business Grey4Gold.

Ms Tiney said: "I have a passion for retailing and the opportunities it offers individuals to build really worthwhile careers. Therefore I am delighted to be joining the board of Grey4Gold as I believe this business is uniquely placed to connect a network of experienced retailers with businesses and people who are seeking expert support."

Commenting on Ms Tiney's appointment, Rowland Gee, CEO of Grey4Gold, said: "Her considerable experience provides the board with the full range of skills to enable it, with over 1,000 top-rank retail experts already registered, to become the industry leader in providing experienced mentoring and other full-time and part-time services and guidance to the 400,000 retail SMEs, local authorities and town centre managers in the UK."
