Sodexo Prestige has scooped the Best In-house Recruitment Team category of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) Recruitment Marketing Awards 2012.
The awards, now in their 15th year recognise and reward excellence, innovation, creativity and effectiveness in recruitment marketing. Up against some tough competition from the likes of Impetus Automotive and Lifestyle Services Group, the win was heightened by a record number of entries this year, with 92 finalists attending the ceremony in London last night.
The team impressed the judges with their work on recruiting some 3,500 employees to work at the Olympics through the "Be More Than a Spectator" campaign which included setting up a new website, Twitter account and a range of printed material to engage with prospective employees.
They visited university freshers' fairs and the host boroughs around the Olympic Stadium to promote vacancies prompting the judges to conclude: "The sheer scale of what they did was very impressive."
Sarah Perry, HR director for Sodexo Prestige UK and Ireland, said: "We are delighted to have won the best in-house team award as we were up against very tough competition. I am very proud of the team - they have worked incredibly hard on the Be More Than a Spectator campaign and thoroughly deserve the recognition."
