Sports Direct is set to buy 60 JJB stores, safeguarding at least 1,000 jobs at the chain, according to reports. The Mike Ashley-owned chain is expected to take control of 20 stores straight away, but the remaining 40 will be scrutinised by the competition watchdog.
Meanwhile, a dispute between Adidas and Sports Direct over stock has stalled rescue talks.
